Nature Question of the day

Here's the question of the day: do you have a tree in your yard or nearby? If so, what type is it?
Naturelove21's answer: the tree in my front yard is called a maple tree! It has shed all its leaves by now but in the spring and summer it's gorgeous! <3

My fish

Hi there, I thought I'd post a little something for y'all! This is my fish, Angelica. She is a beta fish, which is a fish with cool flowy fins! Two of my friends own beta fish, and they are both large and blue. But Angelica is very small and her colors are light blue and pink. She lives a very happy life in her fish bowl on my counter! Thanks for reading! ~Naturelove21

Thankfulness tree

My family always does a little craft for thanksgiving. This year we did a thankfulness tree! We clipped a branch from our lilac tree and cut out paper leaves. Then when a guest came, they could write something they were thankful for on a leaf and put it on the tree. We stuck the branch in a jar of corn kernels. I think it looks awesome now that it's finished!

The Finished Product:

So, thanksgiving has come and gone, and I really enjoyed it! There was a lot of work involved but it was totally worth it! What was your thanksgiving like? Please comment, I'd love to know!

Thanks! I loved this song and I wanted to share it with you! -Naturelove21

Hi there! It's a bit dreary outside today so I thought I would share a link to some interesting facts about rain!

New Name

Hey! I have changed my username and I thought I would tell you so you wouldn't be confused. I am now Naturelove21. Bye!

Tuesday, November 10, 2015

I know I've been posting a lot today, but it's raining right now and it's just possible to see a rainbow. Here are some facts about them and a picture!

Rainbows can be seen when it is both raining and sunny. You can only see a rainbow when your back is to the sun, because a rainbow is basically a reflection. The sun shines a white light, which our brains see as many different colors. So, when the the sun shines on the sky (blue), although the light is white, we automatically know it as blue. All the colors of the rainbow mixed together are black, so when you look at something black, it is black because it is absorbing all the colors of the rainbow.

I hope you enjoyed these interesting color facts!

Nature's Song Update

Hi! I thought I'd give an update about my blog. First of all, I've switched to the mobile device Blogger app! It is much more efficient to use than going online every time I want to post something. Next, Followers Count! Last time I checked, I have 2 followers. A BIG THANK YOU TO THOSE FOLLOWERS! And to any who like my blog but don't follow, please do! Thanks for reading my update!

Chickadee Sketch!

Hey guys! I drew this picture of a chickadee and I thought you would enjoy it. It took me about two days to complete, yesterday and today. My sketching tip is: To make your coloring look smooth and even, rub a tissue across it gently. I did this with the gray part of the chickadee and it works great! Comment if you like my drawing.

Wild Turkeys!

Here are some pictures of what you might eat for Thanksgiving Dinner!

Fall treats!

Hi everyone! One of my friends reminded me that fall isn't just beautiful nature, but it can also mean sweet, yummy treats too! Check these good ideas for autumn goodies.

This looks like some sort of yummy pie made with.. Pears! Yum yum!

Rice crispy pumpkins are wonderful to make for a harvest party, or just if you're feeling bored!

These look delicious! Again, I'm trying to stick with the fall theme so if you have any ideas please comment! Note: Pictures and treats are not mine.

I personnally love autumn! It is one of the most colorful seasons and it is so beautiful.

I've noticed yellow is one of the predominant colors in fall foliage. It is definitely one of the prettiest!
I know pumpkin season is pretty much over, but I wanted to post these cute pumpkins!
And last but not least this woodland path with gorgeous autumn foliage!
