A Session On Snow

From now until January 5, I will be doings a session on SNOW. Snow is really cool, and we'll be getting some this winter, so I thought I would inform you about it with some little known facts. We haven't gotten much snow here but we will! 

• Snow is actually translucent, not white. 

• Each winter in the U.S., about 1 septillion snowflakes fall from the sky.

• The largest snowflake was 15 inches wide. 

• Snow has never been reported in the Key West.

• Bears have 42 teeth. 

• Reindeers like bananas (who knew?) 

• Koalas sleep about 18 hours a day

• Cats have about 32 muscles in each ear

• About 42% of plant life in in the sea

Here's the question of the day: do you have a tree in your yard or nearby? If so, what type is it? 

Naturelove21's answer: the tree in my front yard is called a maple tree! It has shed all its leaves by now but in the spring and summer it's gorgeous! <3
